Recommended VBA resources
DIY vs VBA Courses
You can learn almost everything with free online material however you may not learn the most effective way to do things and risk code running slow and getting errors. Below are a list of recommended free VBA resources and courses.
- Record macros > check code. I have learnt so much over the years by recording a macro and then viewing the code. This method is a very quick way to learn, particularly with formatting cells and shapes.
- Google search "VBA + outcome you want". Extensive blogs and code is available free online. This is a great way to solve a specific query.
- Press F2 in VBA to scan through objects and functions available.
- You must become familiar with how to debug in VBA. Something that many people do not realise is you can drag the yellow arrow in debug mode with your mouse to skip executing code.
